Phillip and Susan White are pleased to announce that they are the proud new owners and operators of Windy Pines Cottages on spectacular Whitefish Lake in Nolalu, Ontario!

Phillip and Susan White have both resided in Thunder Bay, Ontario for a number of years and have enjoyed their own cottage on Whitefish Lake immensely. Both are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy all that nature has to offer and look forward to the opportunity to expand their interests as resort owners. Susan, a Registered Nurse has also completed both education and employment in Hotel and Resort Management, while Phillip is a Carpenter by trade. Both have owned and/or operated their own successful businesses in the Thunder Bay Area and are excited about this new opportunity.

Previously, Windy Pines cottages boasted two fully furnished and winterized rental cottages, each on their own lot, and remained open for 19 weeks of the year during the summer months. Phillip and Susan are excited to announce that they are expanding Windy Pines Resorts!

New Additions and Services

Jack Pine Cottage is the newest addition to Windy Pines Cottages. Jack Pine cottage is also located on a separate lot and is tastefully furnished and winterized to provide comfort year round. This cottage provides 3 bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen and bathroom and it’s own dock.

A fireplace adorns the living area and the open concept kitchen, living room and dining room provide for an airy feel with a spectacular view of the lake.

Beginning December 2006, Windy Pines Cottages will be open year-round! A prime location for winter enthusiasts, Windy Pines offers excellent ice fishing and is located only approximately 2 km from groomed Snowmobile Federation skidoo trails. For those who prefer non-motorized winter sports, snowshoes are available for use for those who wish to explore the area on foot, and the area is perfect for cross country skiers. Excellent downhill skiing is also available at Loch Lomond, a short drive away in Thunder Bay.

Whether you are seeking an exciting hunting or fishing expedition, an exhilarating snowmobile adventure or a secluded getaway, Windy Pines Resort has both the facilities and surroundings for an unforgettable excursion.
